Kahla Peaks is a location and dungeon in Sword of Mana. It's part of the snowy region of Lorimar at the world's further northeast, and it's connected to the south by Lorimar Castle.

Story[edit]

In their search for the Mana Sword, the protagonist with a respective ally travel to Lorimar. After being warned that the route to Subsea Volcano through the Rocky Wilds has been frozen by an evil spirit's magic, the two set out to climb Kahla Peak to defeat this evil entity and undo the spell, freeing the passage and the frozen people in Lorimar Castle.

After climbing the mountain, the heroes enter the Malarys's cave and soon a battle begins.

Soon after defeating the evil spirit, his voice echoes in the cave, saying that he came to this world for a tomorrow, but forgotten his purpose, and thanking the protagonists the voice disapears.

Then, mist of blood appears and a cutscene starts, the mist change to a magic rain that fall above Lorimar and free the petrified people including Prince Durac, soon they realize what happened and blame the king.

The king had apologized to the prince and ask to succeed him, in turn, the young man argues that once Malarys was defeated, the hate and sadness must be forget so they can rebuild the kingdom together as his atonement.

Marley will leave the scene and the prince will chase her, successively after reaching her, he seems to recognize her.

He soon recognizes her as Pamela, a girl he used to know and was in love with, but it was a long time ago once he's been an ice statue for so long. She denies it, and says that he keeps a pure heart, while hers has been tainted with time, and what only matters now is that he will make an excellent king. Then she leaves, and the prince is seemingly devastated, the scene ends with the king and prince being pardoned, and the prince ascending to the throne.

The duo return to Lorimar, with Marley leaving the castle.
