The Marilith has two sets of arms in all installments. The wrists, head and torso are covered with gold equipment.
The Marilith is known to resist most magic, although the creature can produce ice missiles in all Final Fantasy Adventure iterations. In Secret of Mana, the Hexas has access to a wide variety of magic and can inflict the Pygmize status effect.

Etymology[edit]
Marilith is a half-woman half-snake monster originating from Dungeons & Dragons appearing in the 1st edition of the Monster Manual. Its original depiction also inspired the Fiend of Fire from the Final Fantasy franchise. Malyris is a corruption of the name.
Kary is a corruption of Kali, a major Hindu goddess associated with time, change, creation, power, destruction and death in Shaktism. She is often depicted as a blue-skinned woman with four arms and accompanied with snakes.
The Lamian part in Lamian Naga stems from Lamia, a flesh-eating temptress in Greek mythology. The demon is portrayed as having the upper body of a beautiful maiden and the limbs replaced by a large serpentine tail.
Finally, Nagas are a race of serpent-like deities in various Asian mythologies. Like the Marilith and the Lamia, they are often depicted as women with the lower body of a snake.
