Millionaire is a minor character in Dawn of Mana and a supporting character in Children of Mana.

Background

In Children of Mana, Millionaire lost everything in the Great Cataclysm ten years ago. Originally from Wendell, me migrated along with his friend Wanderer to Illusia Isle and settled his shop, the Golden Goods Store in the Mana Village where he can buy and sell weapons, items, and accessories.

History

Dawn of Mana

Millionaire is mentioned as one of the four leaders of Fa'Diel who gathered in an emergency meeting in a palace in Topple at the end of Chapter 2. The leaders couldn't send their army combat the lorimarian army, and neither decide on what to do next, as fruitless discussions led to no definitive action.

Children of Mana

If Wanderer is chosen as the main character, the game begins with him returning to Millionaire after taking some items to the port to be put into storage. Mildly exhausted at the work he has done, the merchant reminds him that "if [he doesn't] work, [he] shan't eat", and that he should be grateful for his employment. Wanderer agrees, saying that the two niccolo have always looked out for one-another ever since the Cataclysm a decade prior. When Millionaire remarks that Wanderer could give up his nomadic lifestyle and settle down in the village, the younger niccolo replies that he'll consider it, having a fondness for the place. He then turns down Millionaire's offer of dinner in order to see Tess and give her a seashell he found at the port.

He is present during the village's central stone anomaly, but is only a mere bystander.

MIllionaire makes a cameo appearance alongside many other characters from the Mana series.

General information

Physical appearance

In his Dawn of Mana depiction, he is an older niccolo dressed in regal attire, having a red crown encrusted with diamonds and emeralds. His ears are decorated with gold and silver coins joined by a chain. He wears a dark green coat with lush white fur trim adorned with a light green jabot with a massive white jewel in its center. His hands are coverted with white gloves with most finger being bedecked with large rings. He sports elaborate red and gold slippers and is seen handling a fancy purple umbrella with striped black and red handle.

In Children of Mana, he is dressed much more conservatively, befitting his loss during the cataclysm. His head is covered with a simple red beanie, and his neck is covered by a green scarf. He wears a purple vest with large silver buttons and a brown belt.

Personality

The shrewd niccolo is known to be a very good salesman, a common trait among his race. He doesn't seem to be the con artist as many of his predecessors, as he know how to gain and maintain trust with his peers.

Profile and statistics

Millionaire runs the Golden Goods Store in Mana Village and therefore can sell and buy wares for the protagonist.
