The Path to Mine is a location and field area in Sword of Mana. It's part of the pictoresque region of Wendel at the world's southeast, and connected to Mushboom Forest by the south, Path to Gaia by the west and the Abandoned Mine by the northeast.
Story[edit]
As the Hero[edit]
After the Heroine is taken hostage by the Dark Lord in Wendel and the Hero receives the spirit of light Wisp, he must venture west to Gaia Cave, however, after seeing the locked passage and speaking with the dwarves of Dwarf Cave, the Hero take the other way eastbound to Abandoned Mine for mythril.
In a small scene when arriving there, the Hero sees the passage blocked, but a weak point of the wall gives way, some dudbears leave the mine along with Watts who were lost on the way. After a dialogue in which Watts sees that the Hero is not a mirage, he reveals came to the mine to make an ultra sword with the mythril, but since it is full of monsters and and no one would approach, he decided to use the dudbears to dig the ore, but not very efficiently.
After revealing to be also after the mythril, Watts decides to join the Hero, with the promise of splitting the reward in half, so the two enter the mine.
As the Heroine[edit]
Although it has no relevance to this story, later in the game, after gaining access to the cannons, the Heroine can visit the area, explore it and take its treasures.
