The Mega Xorn, also known as Aegagropilon, is a recurring enemy and boss in the Mana series. Its main body consists of a large green sphere with darker stripes from which a giant toothy mouth protudes. Attached on this main core are two legs made of several round segements adorned with spikes and ending with large paws. Its 2D design is much simpler, removing the stripes and the segements for a more compact and smaller critter.

The two creature's iterations behave drastically different from each other. The Mega Xorn from Final Fantasy Adventure and Adventures of Mana only attacks by biting Sumo, occasionally inflicting poison while the Aegagropilon favors Dryad magic and can jump and crash into party members to deal damage and induce sleep on collision. Also, the former is a regular enemy while the latter is a boss.
