Vinquette Hall is a dungeon in Sword of Mana, replacing Kett Manor from the original Final Fantasy Adventure.

It's located in the greater Topple region at the north of the world, can be found east of Topple beyond Batmo Cave and connected to Vinquette Vicinity to the south. It is a villa of vampires from Mavolia and is open only at night. Count Lee is the master of the hall; he has two butlers in his employ. Isabella visits him often and occasionally takes residence there.

Story

SPOILERS ENCLOSED! Click "show" to reveal, otherwise skip to the following section.

Duke and Elena visit Vinquette Hall at night after learning that Count Lee closed the path to Wendel.

In the Heroine's story, before entering, Elena sees a ghost in the woods aside, and after running from him, she tells Duke, who doesn't believe her.

In the Hero's story, as soon as Elena leaves the scene, a mysterious man appears asking Duke to get out of the way, which he doesn't. The man then warns him that the hall's master is a vampire who snatches women and sucks their blood, and suggests him to go home, so he goes towards the mansion. Elena returns and tells him she saw a ghost, but Duke doesn't believe in her, and then the two head to the mansion.

In both stories, once inside, they are received by the Ebony Butler, who invites them to pass the night there, Isabella will enter and soon will go up to her room. Elena wishes to leave, but Duke, who has not slept in a real bed in years wants to stay.

Going upstairs, they leave the room, and heads to Isabella's room, after talking to her, they learn about a water spirit in Marsh cave that can help in their journey. Returning to their room, Duke immediately falls asleep, while Elena is still worried that the master is a vampire, but soon she sleeps too.

In Elena's story, she wakes up in the middle at the night, and discovers that Duke is, in fact, the boy who saved her in the past, relieved she hears something outside the room and leaves as the Hero sleeps soundly, she hears the Ivory Buttler telling himself that the girl will serve his master, and having a bride they can return to the Marvolia's underworld and enters a door.

Going through the dungeon, she finds Salamander trapped inside a fireplace behind a Metaball, and after freeing him, he joins the Heroine.

As Elena explores the castle, she discovers that Lee has kept numerous Mana Women asleep in coffins in his basement. The Ivory Butler believes that he keeps them there because he wants to take a bride (a probable reference to the folktale Bluebeard), after a brief conversation, the ghost from the beginning reappear and orders him to bring her to the count, soon the ghost leaves. The butler transforms into a monster and a battle takes place.

After the battle the wounded butler leaves, and Elena continues across the hall. Later, she finds Isabella talking to someone else, who she discovers is the Count who is also a Mavole, after a while, he will put Isabella into a sleep and suspend her in the air, then in succession the Hero enters the scene.

While in the Hero's story, he wakes up at night and sees that Elena is gone, soon he leaving the room. Out there, Duke sees the Ebony butler talking to himself about a girl who will serve and pleased the count, and then enters the lower left room. Thinking to be the Heroine, the Hero soon goes to her rescue.

Going to Isabella's room again, he finds it empty except for his diary on the table, reading it he finds some strange things about her past and begins to have doubt about Isabella.

Duke, then, ventures through the Vinquette Hall's dungeon, eventually, he frees Salamander who joins him. After a while, he will find the mysterious man again in a room full of women in coffins, and after a short dialogue he leaves. So the Ebony Butler reappears and turns into a monster, begins to battle with the Hero.

After the battle, wounded he leaves and opens the door, therefore, the Hero makes his way deeper into the dungeon. Then, further ahead he finds Elena, the count, and Isabella floating in the back. Shortly after a brief conversation, a battle take place.

At the intersection of the two stories, when Elena and Duke finally confront Count Lee, he explains that in reality, he has kept Mana Women beneath the castle as a favor to his best friend Lord Granz. He keeps them there to protect them from Heretic Hunters. He attempts to do the same to Elena and Isabella when the ghost, who is actually Granz's ghost, convinces Lee to let them go and to let Duke and Elena explore the world on their own. Count Lee accedes and opens the path to Wendel. The count also tell them to look for the water spirit in Marsh Cave.

In a cutscene showing a memory, Duke finally recognizes that Elena is the girl he saved in the past, after they reconciled, they following their journey to Wendel.

Although Vinquette Hall and Kett Manor share a name in Japanese, significant differences in both the story and world map between Final Fantasy Adventure and Sword of Mana lead to inconsistencies that have no resolution.
