The Trader is a minor NPC in Trials of Mana.

He's been directly meddling with the disappearance of Riesz's brother Elliot by trading the child to a red-eyed man. If Riesz is in the party, she can confront the man for his evil deeds and obtain the Chain Ability Stat Down Resistance. Afterwards, the man says that he'll change his wicked ways.
