Impediment, also known as Speed Down is a recurring move in the Mana series.
History[edit]
Secret of Mana[edit]
- “Ivy emerges from the ground and entangles the enemy's legs, decreasing its speed.”

Speed Down is a Gnome spell learned by Popoi that costs 1 MP to use. Invasive ivy sprouts from the ground and tangle enemy, lowering its evasion rate and attack speed.

Available only in the 2D version, Impediment is a Gnome move that decreases the enemy's DEX by 1/3. DEX is not used in the 2020 remake.
