Sirhtan Rich Man is a supporting character in Trials of Mana.

History

Trials of Mana

The rich man first appears during Hawkeye's opening gambit during which the Nevarlan thief break into his house at night in Sirhtan while he and his family are fast asleep. Upon discovering the intruder trying to rob his treasure next to his bed, the rich man panics while Hawkeye gives him a lecture about swindling the struggling people of this town. The common thief even has the gall to advise him to change his ways, further angering the merchant.

In the HD remake, should the player revisit the desert capital and talk to the rich man while Hawkeye is the Chosen, he won't recognize the man who stole from him, but shares the events who said pushed him to change his ways, thanks to his supporting family. He's now an important person in town and is grateful of what happened to him. This change of heart gives the party the Spell Shield Chain Ability.
