One day, Mark asks his daughter Rachel if she'd like to come with him for a hike in the mountains. She replies he could take her mom instead while she tends the shop, but her father laughs it off, saying she should not be worrying about the boutique.
At the town's marketplace, the main characters hears Jennifer, Mark's wife, complaining about him being always with her daughter. She told him to cut it off, but he did not listen. Back at Mark's place, he tells the hero he tought Rachel was with them and wonders where she went. Downstairs, Teapo reveals that Mark's dream is to hop on a rocket ship and explore outer space. According to her, Rachel is sick of him. Meanwhile, the father has found a note from his daughter telling her family she's gone for a while and to not worry about her. Mark asks the hero what to do, fearing she has run away.
The protagonist returns from the Academy of Magic as Teapo suggested they look for Rachel there. She came back during that time and her dad tells her they can replace Teapo with a newer model if it's magic she wants. The daughter replies that even though she's a Model 1, it was well recieved in Geo and think it's more about how you use it that counts, which puzzles her father.
Jennifer claims her husband is still acting strange even though her daughter came back. Apparently, a blue jelly speaks back to him when he closes his eyes. He swears that she is an impostor, which drives Jennifer at her wit's end. Back at the house, Mark tells her daughter he's glad she cheered up, but asks her is she's really Rachel. The girl replies that what's they named her, so they're should not be any concerns to have about. Mark still insists he's not convinced, and Rachel hammers down she is. He remembers he's got something to tell her, and make her promise not to laugh about it. He tells her about the blue jelly of his dreams calling itself Rachel, and that the Rachel in their house is none other than a green wiggly. The young girl reveals it must be a telepathic message from their daughter, as she and them traded bodies at the Academy of Magic. Jennifer faints and Mark exclames that he knew he wasn't his daughter, but the creature calls him an idiot for not knowing anything about her. Teapo comes upstairs and reveals that Rachel bought gunpower with the money she earned as she wanted to blow this whole house up, including him. However, upon closer inspection from Jennifer, it appears that the gunpowder and star map where purchased to make a spaceship. Jennifer scolds her husband for not remembering about the space rocket him and Rachel planned in her childhood. The whole room then hears a distant echo who is revealed to be Rachel. She tells her father to close her eyes and listen to her. Mark never noticed her for who she was, but now they are far apart and can communicate. There is no more Rachel as she is a blue jiggly now, but she might come back again and he could give her a new name. The voice disappears and the fake Rachel is now part of the family like all this never happened.

Mark is portrayed to be a family-oriented person and is one who, as previously mentioned, clearly loves his family members immensely, especially his daughter Rachel. Contrary to his rather severe appearance, Mark is a patient, jovial and amicable individual, which is especially explicated through the bubbly quips he showers upon Rachel.
Rather ironically, this love of his also proves to be his biggest flaw, as it is evident that it is rather excessive, especially in how he regards Rachel. Speaking to Jennifer when she is roaming the marketplace sheds light on this matter, where she voices dissent over the fact that her husband's love for Rachel is abnormal and erratic, prompting her to prefer being away from home.
Mark's mode of parenting is also one that can, in a word, be considered to be disturbing; completely oblivious to the fact that Rachel is a teenager with needs that are worlds different from those of an adolescent, he insists on outfitting her room with "girly" paraphernalia, alongside dressing her in a rather juvenile Faerie costume. Making matters worse is the fact that Rachel, despite having tried to express her discomfort over his simpering love, has been ignored by her father.

==Profile and statistics==
According to the events of the Rachel quest, Mark's behavior is entirely attributed to a deep sense of insecurity, one that has compelled him to believe that Rachel does not love him sufficiently. This has thus motivated him to shower her with a brand of love that is excessive and which she has long outgrown.

Niccolo's Business Unusual[edit]

Mark is seen resting in his rocking chair next during Niccolo's business transaction with Teapo.

Rachel[edit]

One day, Mark asks his daughter Rachel if she'd like to come with him for a hike in the mountains. She replies he could take her mom instead while she tends the shop, but her father laughs it off, saying she should not be worrying about the boutique.

At the town's marketplace, the main characters hears Jennifer, Mark's wife, complaining about him being always with her daughter. She told him to cut it off, but he did not listen.
