Background[edit]
Sierra is the beast-warrior who swore loyalty to Vadise by being her personal dragoon after her brother Larc died.
History[edit]
Legend of Mana[edit]
- “A beast-warrior who is Vadise's dragoon. Never compromises, and always hard on herself as well as on others.”
- —In-game Encyclopedia
The Guardian of Winds[edit]
Sierra first appears at the foot of the Norn Peaks to stop her brother Larc from attempting to slay Akravator, one of the three Dragons of Knowledge. She tries to reason him by warning him that he's being manipulated by his master Drakonis, but she disappears before convincing him of anything.
The Dragon Princess[edit]
The Dragoon of Vadise shows up at the Ancient Tree deep within The White Forest. She once again claims Drakonis is using her brother to harness Mana power all to himself. Larc acknowledges this fact, further angering her sister who now thinks he no longer cares about the Crimson Dragon destroying the world by coming back to the surface. Drakonis's dragoon cuts her off, telling her he will be freed from the Underworld along with his master once he gathers all Mana Stones' energy. Sierra reveals she swore loyalty to the White Dragon Vadise living in this forest and must maintain peace in the land of Fa'Diel. As a result, she cannot allow anyone to disrupt that peace, not even her own brother. Both of them draw their weapons, but the White Dragon Vadise appears next to her, pleading her to stop. She states that siblings should not shed the blood they share. Larc orders the dragon to tell him where the Mana Stone is located if they wish for their lives to be spared. Vadise tells him the precious crystal is straight down a nearby path, and the Beast Warrior runs toward it. Back to the Ancient Tree, Larc gives the player a lunk of Lorimar Iron, and runs off alone to back to his master in the Underworld. Now with the Beast Warrior gone, the White Dragon tells the protagonist to stop Drakonis and his dragoon as the world could easily fall into chaos should they succeed. The Dragon Princess adds that she wants to see how powerful the main character is with a fight. They prove themselves to be exceedingly strong, which pleases the dying Vadise. She then gives her dragoon one last order before fainting, which is to team up with the hero and stop her brother.
The Crimson Dragon[edit]
Vadise's dragoon reappears at the entrance of the Underworld, telling the protagonist to help her navigate the vast underground maze. As they enter, they are greeted by the evil Drakonis's voice, telling Sierra he has a little gift for coming this far to save her brother. A horde of enemies materializes around them, which they must hack through in order to proceed. Sierra easily trounce them, and both adventurers continue deeper into the maze. They reach the Pulpit of Eternal Flame where Larc is seen waiting for her. Drakonis appears in front of him and praises him for accomplishing his wish of returning to his original form and leave this infernal prison. Sierra tries to stop them, reiterating Larc is being used by his master. The Beast Warrior acknowledges this fact, and reveals he's about to put a stop to him by honoring the agreement he made with Drakonis prior all this came to fruition. He tells his master they will fight and only the victor will come back to the surface. Drakonis honors this claim by turning him into a monstrous mindless centaur. He then explains he's giving Larc his reward for serving him so admirably, as he always wanted to be as strong as his sister. The Crimson Dragon teleports away, but not before giving his dragoon one last order to prove his might by defeating his sister. With the help of the protagonist, Sierra mortally wound her possessed brother, snapping some sense back into his mind. He reveals he knew his actions were wrong from the start, but he wanted to return to the world of the living to see her again. He vanishes in Sierra's arms, who swears she will avenge his death.
A sudden tremor is felt from all over the Underworld, knocking the main character and Vadise's dragoon away. The world map shows the Underworld being replaced by Drakonis's Castle. Sierra and the protagonist are seen at the entrance of the fortress when they are greeted with Vadise's spirit. She is glad to see then unharmed and states her soul will always be with them during this trial. Sierra admits she failed at preventing Drakonis to free himself from its hellish prison, but the White Dragon tells her there's a powerful barrier erected nearby. Once she steps foot into it, she might not be able to return. She urges Sierra not to face the Crimson Dragon on her own, lest he consumes her as he did with Larc. According to the Dragon of Knowledge, Drakonis's weakness is his solitude, as he trusts and befriends no one. With the bonds of love and life connected to Sierra, she shall prevail with their support. Then Vadise reminds the protagonist about Drakonis's intentions of bringing all life in this world under his control. Even aloof dragons like them seek to connect with others through their dragoons. She then entrusts the main character and Sierra with the bonds of live before both of them enters the hellish castle.
With the help of Vadise's spirit, Sierra and the hero climb the infernal fortress all the way to Drakonis. Sierra orders him to return the three dragons' and her brother's souls to her, but the Crimson Dragon tranforms into his true draconic self. This proves to be a difficult battle, but the two adventurers eventually manage to defeat the evil emperor. Larc's body is seen lying in the throne room as the whole fortress is about to collapse, reverting back to the Underworld. Sierra is seen next to her ailing brother near the Macabre Tombstone, but Vadise forbids her to touch him, for she could be inflicted with Drakonis's blood curse. Larc stands up, confesses he must remain in the Underworld along with the Crimson Dragon for a thousand years, as it is the law of the dragoons. Sierra tries to prevent her brother from returning down there, but Larc replies it's his burden and his alone. He adds he will not wait for a thousand years to break the curse and is grown accostumed to the Underworld. Sierra agrees to pay him regular visits and both part ways for now.

Echoes of Mana[edit]
- “A dragoon beauty in pursuit of her younger brother Larc, Sierra is a beast-warrior who is harsh on both herself and others. Although she once lost her life in battle, she was revived by the dragon Vadise who was struck by her bravery. Sierra has served her dragon master ever since in repayment of her kindness.”
- —Square Enix Official Website
Sierra was a character and obtainable unit. She had three known variants:
She was also depicted in one memory gem:
Sierra is seen confronting her brother Larc in front of the gates of the Underworld in Episode 3 of Season 2: Soulpepper: Wandering Bonds. He wonders why she came here, to which she states she was saved by the dragon princess Vadise and she now serves her as her dragoon. Should Drakonis becomes a nuisance in the Underworld, she would not hesitate to draw her blades. She then asks why her brother is able to crawl out of hell with such ease. He answers that now he's Drakonis's dragoon, he can now leave the Underworld for a short while. Shoked by this revelation, Sierra asks why he would stoop that low by teaming with such an evil being, but Larc responds he wishes to be more powerful in the process. Both beastfolk are about to fight, but Blainchet step between them to cut it off. The wolffolk scolds both of them for starting an argument, but Larc and Sierra harshly tell him to step aside for this is none of his concern. Larc asks his sister to leave now as she'll by a liability in the Underworld and rushes back inside, quickly followed by his sister.
The party follows them all the way back to the depth of hell. Blainchet tries to reason with Sierra and Larc, but both won't hear any of his pleas. Larc attacks the wolfkin in retaliation and the party is forced to intervene. Sierra urges her brother to tell him more about his relationship with Drakonis, but he sneakily strikes her with his blade, critically wounding her in the process. He apologises to her and starts carrying her body back to the surface. Blainchet try to asks him why he wouldn't speak to her instead of fighting, but the Beast Warrior replies that what is is about to do is unforgivable and she won't accept his reasoning. The wolfkin adds he should at least try explain it until she understands, but Larc calls him a hopeless fool and storms off.

General information[edit]
Physical appearance[edit]
Personality[edit]
As the dragoon of Vadise, Sierra is fierce in her loyalty and devotion to her liege. This fact alone has compelled her to thrust herself into the midst of tremendous danger in the execution of the duties that she imposes upon herself for the sake of defending Vadise from coming under harm. Sierra's appearances in the forests of the Norn Peaks in The Guardian of Winds and within the Bone Fortress in The Ghost of Nemesis evidence this, as both instances see her resorting to physical violence in a bid to halt the Hero/Heroine and Larc in carrying out their mission of folly under Drakonis' direction.
Lying nestled within Sierra's exterior of unflinching responsibility is a strong, pulsating love for her family. Throughout her interactions with Larc, in spite of the harsh, blunt tone that she employs in deriding his actions, it is evident that she does so out of sheer concern for his well-being. Sierra's love for her brother is made especially clear in The Crimson Dragon, where she clearly expresses anguish in response to her brother's pain in being warped and subsequently transformed into a monster.
