Pokiehl: Dream Teller[edit]
The storyteller is waiting at the entrance of the Ulkan Mines to recite a magical poem about freedom that will make the main character travel back through time to learn the origin story of Matilda and Irwin.
The Cage of Dreams[edit]
Nunzac is seen inside the main character's workshops arguing with Belle about the Sproutling's fate as the Mana Tree. Belle accuses Nunuzac of hiding the leafy creature by trapping him in a spiritual dimension. As a result, the Sproutling cannot become the next Mana Tree, and thus Belle asks the protagonist to venture help him. The magician retorts Sproutlings should stay as they are and not become one with the sacred tree, since Nunuzac saw was peoplekind was able to do when they sought to harness the tree's power in the past.
Pokiehl comes inside the workshop to chat with Nunuzac about the fate of the Sproutling. He tells time has come for the little being to merge with the Mana Tree, but the sorcerer fears the the wisdoms might favor war over peace by allowing this. He then argues that people from all Fa'Diel has proven to live without the Mana Tree. Pokiehl answers back that the sorcerer's view of the world in incomplete, as love is what fuels bliss by sharing it. Nunuzac thinks everyone's a fool deep at heart and would even follow the Deathbringer's teachings if they had to, bringing back an age of darkness. The old magician seems to regret uttering those words as Pokiehl head back outside, but the Wisdom lasts words about praying for his soul even if he decides to destroy the world lingers in his heart.
Legend of Mana[edit]
After reviving the Mana Tree, Pokiehl welcomes the protagonist to the Sanctuary of Mana. He tells the main character the Mana Goddess was the light and couldn't see herself, and thus decreed that some of her light became her shadow. She created the universe with her mind alone. So the desire to know oneself is the shadow that separates us to Her radiance. He advises the player not to hate the darkness and that words are their strength.
During the ending credits, Pokiehl is seen playing his musical box inside Watts's workshop.

General information[edit]
Physical appearance[edit]
Personality[edit]
Masking the expansive knowledge of the history of Fa'Diel and the caprices of its inhabitants that have earned Pokiehl the title of Wisdom is a personality that is markedly airy and blithe; in just about every situation that he participates in, he is known to translate his acuity into poems, which he then presumably jauntily sings to the tune of a ditty. His actions in the eponymous Pokiehl: Dream Teller quest best illustrates this, as he, prior to guiding the Hero/Heroine through a reenactment of the Ulkan Mines incident, breezily sings a limerick while strutting around an enchanted musical box.
It is through this same limerick that one can glean the sheer extent of his wisdom. While it initially appears to be a spell that allows one to bend the rules of time in order to cross from the future to the past, it simultaneously summarises the saga of the star-crossed lovers; the "birds-of-paradise" in the first line, for one, symbolise the glamorous allure of Irwin's wild freedom that is responsible for piquing Matilda's attraction to him. The "shackles of time" in the second line metonymically represent the constricting bonds that Matilda's fate as the direct descendant of Gato's priest lineage have imposed on her, and the concept of "breaking free" from these mirror the temptation that Irwin offers to liberate her.
