Teapo is a major ally character in Legend of Mana and a recurring character in the Mana series.

Background

Teapo is a magical anthropomorphic teapot, designed by an unnamed manufacturer in Geo. Two such creatures appear in the game, with one functioning as the servant of Mark's family, and the other working as the innkeeper in Geo. Teapos are known to perceive themselves to be jewelry collectors, although the ones appearing in-game are said to constantly acquire glass fakes, sold to them by Niccolo.

History

Legend of Mana

“A magical life-form with a kind heart. She thinks she is a jewelry collector, but most of them are glass fakes that Niccolo sold to her.”
In-game Encyclopedia

Niccolo's Business Unusual

The wandering merchant Niccolo needs to make a stop at Mark's home before tackling the treacherous Luon Highway. He tries selling him a old Wheel for 50,000 Lucre but the poor teapot cannot afford this overpriced item. He tells her he's be lending it to the protagonist until she collects the amount.

Seeing Double

A Shadow Zero-One disguised as Duelle is forcing Teapo into giving him all of her pumpkins, claiming he'll be using them to take over the world. After realizing she gave all of her prized pumpkins to a impersonator, the anthropomorphic Teapot shed tears of joy knowing Duelle is not a bad person.

Teatime of Danger

Duelle tells the protaongist he was separated from Teapo after she wanted to pick some tea leaves at the Mindas Ruins. The live china pot is discovered deep within the ruins crying for help. She advises the main character to be weary of blood-sucking bats lurking nearby and reunites with the onion warrior at the end of the quest.

Rachel

Teapo has heard of her master's daughter being sick of her father cloying attitude and has went to Geo to learn magic. The anthropomorphic teapot later admits Rachel had gathered gunpowder material with her hard-earned money to blow up her house. On closer inspection, is it revealed she wanted to build a rocketship to explore the universe.

The Lucky Clover

Multiple Teapo look-alikes are seen working at Geo's inn, with the one at the counter being guilty of hiding one of Esmeralda's sister's cores in a plant in the lobby. At first denying the fact and dismissive of the Jumi's plea, she softens up after hearing the tragic story of her sisters being killed and gladly gives the jewel back to her.

Circle of Mana

Teapo makes a cameo appearance in the online game, along with several other characters from the Mana series. She appears in 2 sets of cards.

General information

Physical appearance

Personality

Although Teapos are artificially granted life through the employment of magic, they are, nevertheless, in possession of a number of character traits that are unique to them.

For one, Teapos are known to speak in a distinctive English Cockney dialect, and this often makes interactions with them ones that are both hilarious and endearing.

Teapos are also inclined to be melodramatists, and have the tendency to either make mountains out of molehills or exaggerate the severity of a given problem. During the Rachel quest, for one, the Teapo residing in Mark's residence mistakenly believes that Rachel had modified her into a bomb to blow up her father, when in reality, Rachel had transformed her into a spaceship to fulfil Mark's childhood dream.

Teapos are also known to be trusting to a fault; their encyclopedia entry reveals that they are wont to repeatedly purchase glass mockeries of jewelry from Niccolo, completely ignorant of the fact that they are being swindled each and every time.
