Li'l Cactus is a major ally character in Legend of Mana.

Li'l Cactus appears in the protagonist's bedroom. He will writes on a small notepad should the player interact with him after completing a quest and leave the room. Players could consult the entries after returning to the bedroom.
Li'l Cactus[edit]
Upon learning that Bud was sick, Li'l Cactus took on himself to gather the necessary ingredients to make a cure for the ailing apprentice. He first went to Luon Highway to ask Gaia on how to make a potion, then went to follow the Wisdom's advice to ask Selkie deep within the Jungle. There, he learns that this rare illness is caught by mages every once in a while and refers the spiky creature to Brownie the student in Geo who just went over this ailment. There, the young magician tells the cactus he drank a potion he got from David the pirate penguin. He finds the pirate on the SS Buccaneer who gives him the medicine. He then calls on Amalette the mail carrier to fly all the way back to the main character's home to give the potion to Bud.
Daddy's Broom[edit]
Upon learning that Li'l Cactus mistook her heirloom broom for trash, Lisa dashes to the Junkyard to retrieve it with Bud and the protagonist not far behind.
Circle of Mana[edit]
Li'l Cactus makes a cameo appearance in the online game, along with several other characters from the Mana series. He appears in 5 sets of cards.

Echoes of Mana[edit]
Despite not being a playable character, Li'l Cactus appears in one memory gem:
Li'l Cactus appears at the end of the side quest Missed Matach Mayhem. After learning from Toto he's been looking all over for his prized collectibles, Lisa mentions seeing the cactus boy lugging a huge box around the Mekiv Caverns. There, the party find him near a huge feral ape they need to take down before rescuing the poor guy. They retrieve the box to Toto who geeks out about its contents.
