Mana series[edit]

  • One of the world's islands is called Lorimar Island.
    • The island is in the far north and has a wintry climate.
    • At its highest point lies the Temple of Wendel.
  • The Vampire returns as a boss and guardian of castle Cresceno
  • Julei's initial bludgeon, the Stinging Sledge, bears the head of the recurring Mega Xorn enemy.

Final Fantasy Adventure & Adventures of Mana[edit]

Sword of Mana[edit]

  • The side-quest system is similar to the system used in this Final Fantasy Adventure rewrite.

Secret of Mana[edit]

  • The party battles the Mantis Ant first chronologically should the prologue be omitted.
  • Julei has an alternate outfit with Popoi's headgear, robes, and war paint.
  • When posing as a man, Palamena takes up the nom de guerre Pamael, a tip of the hat to Pamaela
  • The Luka Ruins act as the shrine of the Water Elemental Undine, and are named for Luka, the 200-year-old sage and priestess of the Water Palace.
  • The convoy boards a ship known as the Primm from Rhata Harbor to Ledgas Bay.
  • The party battles the Benevodon Garethe aboard a derelict ship dubbed the Dyluck, named for Primm's crush.
  • Frost Gigas returns with his entire arsenal, this time as a guardian of the Temple of Wendel. Santa Claus, however, is nowhere to be seen.

Trials of Mana[edit]

  • Riesz's Amazon garb is available for Careena, though with a bow in place of Riesz's coronet.
  • Val inherits several classes from Duran.
    • Val's Wood class, Edelfrei gives him a striking resemblance to Duran, as does his Light class, Paladin.
  • A Nemesis is named for Bruiser, Duran's sparring buddy and best friend.
  • Careena can take up classes previously held by both Riesz and Kevin, being part-dragon.
  • Careena's default Class strike is called Whirlwind Spear, the same as Riesz's Amazon class.
  • Morley shares many traits with Hawkeye, including some of his classes and skills.
  • Palamena draws aspects of her character from Riesz and Angela.
    • As Riesz has Elliot in her care, so also does Palamena look after Iain.
    • From Angela, Palamena has a rebellious streak and inherits a portion of her class tree. She does not have Angela's temperament, however.
  • Julei inherits several classes from Charlotte.
    • Like Charlotte, Julei is an adult in the body of a child.
  • Fullmetal Hugger has again consumed a Mana Spirit, this time being Undine.
  • During the battle with Vuscavalanche, the damage done by the debris that klonks the boss on his head reads "19,950,930", the release date of the original Seiken Densetsu 3.
  • Dryad is encountered after defeating Grapplavine in a lush forest.
  • Jewel Eater returns to consume Gnome; and again, the latter was abducted by the creature while napping.
  • Zable Fahr is the only original Benevodon to reprise their role.
  • Ramcoh's flight theme contains the second movement of "Can You Fly, Sister?"
  • The Black Rabite reappears as a superboss.

Dawn of Mana[edit]

Legend of Mana[edit]

Children of Mana[edit]

Echoes of Mana[edit]

  • The opening sequence contains a leitmotif of the opening scene from this game.
  • Eoren's overall motive to stop the cycle of alm sacrifice to save someone dear to him is very similar to Dema's plan to rewrite history by using the False Tree to destroy memories of Echoes.
