This article is about Dark Lord boss from Final Fantasy Adventures & Adventures of Mana. For the character biography, see Dark Lord (character).

The Dark Lord is a boss in Final Fantasy Adventure and its direct remake Adventures of Mana.

Overview[edit]

The Dark Lord is found on the highest floor of its keep, gloating at the hero for attempting to defeat him in combat. Sumo tells the maiden to get into shelter, then crosses blades with its arch nemesis. Unfortunately for our hero, the pendant he retrieves from his corpse is a fake and the maiden is nowhere to be found.

In the original Game Boy installment, the Dark Lord follows the hero at various speeds and tries to stab him with its sword.

In Adventures of Mana, the Dark Lord now moves faster while following Sumo around and can either swipe its sword or do a dashing thrust. After sustaining enough damage, he will send energy beams in a straight line while swinging it sword. Defeating it will reward the player with the Dark Lord Dethroner achievement.
