The Mind Flayer is a boss in Final Fantasy Adventure and its direct remake Adventures of Mana.
Overview[edit]
Avenging her late sister, Lester and the hero climbs the evil Davias’s lair. He transforms into a giant squid creature and a fierce battle ensues. However, the sorcerer laughs as he dies, claiming the pendant they’re looking for has been given to his pet Garuda and will soon be into the Dark Lord’s hands.
In the original Game Boy installment, the Mind Flayer simply moves left and right while beting surrounded by huge fireballs and shooting magic at the team.
In Adventures of Mana, the Mind Flayer circles around Sumo from a distance. Its fireballs surrounding it move less faster than before and are closer to it. The monster can now send a ring of fireballs in all directions. Furthermore, some thrown fireballs will stay on the arena for a while. Defeating it will reward the player with the Flayer Finisher achievement.
