Flamekhan is first mentioned during Chapter 5, ''Dragon Wings of Reunion'', when a Nevarlan deserter named [[Larkbone]] visits the [[Temple of Light]] in [[Wendel (Trials of Mana)|Wendel]] pleading for the [[Priest of Light]] to help his fellow deserters currently pursued by Flamekhan troops after a deal has been made between [[Pedda]] and [[Nevarl]]. [[Roget]] and crew, along with [[Belgar]], the Oracle of Shadows, decide to pitch in and fly to the desert in search for the remaining deserters. In the next chapter, he tries to stop his daughter from escaping, claiming he cannot forgive anyone from abandoning Nevarl and only death awaits those who do so. He leaves them and return to the fortress, plotting for revenge.
The general is seen later in Chapter 13, ''Have-nots Unforgiving'', where he ambush Roget and crew in the [[Woods of Wandara]] with the Nevarlan troops. He calls his daughter out for killing off her own kind, while her daughter asks him why he agreed to join forces with Pedda in the forst place. He replies that Nervarlan lands weren't blessed with fertile soil and abundant resources like the other nations of the world did, and with Mana depleting in the world, he'd rather avenge his people and rob the rich from what they have been enjoying so far. He challenges his daughter to a fight but ends up bested by the deserters. This pushes him to restort to a duel where he deals the faster blow to Falcon. This triggers a rumble in the area, pulling the [[Mana Stone]] of Wood and its [[Dryad|elemental]] out of their slumber. Falcon tries to reason her father once again, but Flamekhan doesn't waver one bit, saying the Mana Goddess never gave the Nevarlans anything worthwile.
After the Peddan troops retreat from each of the invaded nations, the party decides to head back to Nevarl Fortress in Chapter 19, ''Forged in the Falling Sands''. With their leader [[Olbex]] perishing in [[Laurent]], the thieving troops rally beside Flamekhan, their new ruler. The stubborn man refuses to hear reason and battles Roget and crew once again, but the resistance is too strong for the Nevarlans and the desert ruler falls to its knees. Falcon refuses to return to her old creed, but wishes her father raise her son [[Hawkeye]] while should something happens to her. He refuses at first, stating he cannot raise him as his grandson, as it is contrary to the law of Nevarl. However he accepts keeping the young child under the condition he is to be considered an orphan. Falcon thanks her and heads back to Roget and crew.
Flamkhan was most certainly affected by [[Anise's Mirror]] and had his memory of these past events stripped from him.

Flamekhan is a recurring character in Mana series.

Background

Flamekhan was born and raised in the Nevarl Fortress deep within the Burning Sands, where he quickly gained social acclaim in becoming a high ranking officer in its army and earned the title of Lord. He had a first wife with whom he conceived his elder daughter Falcon who was trained to be a ninja. He joined the guild of noble thieves at some point in time.
