Olbohn is a major ally character in Legend of Mana and a recurring character in the Mana series.
Background
One of Seven Wisdoms existing in the world of Fa'Diel, Olbohn functions as the Archdemon of the Underworld of Hell. During the era of the Faeries' War, Olbohn is said to have entered the Underworld for the purpose of defeating the Faeries' leader, thereafter usurping control over the place. He is later usurped himself by Drakonis who takes over as Archdemon of Hell.
He's also a secondary character in the Faeries's Arc during which he is revealed to have trained the deceased Escad to the art of the sword for ten years.

The Fallen Emperor
The Archdemon of Hell is encountered in his office deep in the Underworld, where the protagonist must first be reported as newly departed. He tells Larc to stop bringing in uninvited guests to the Underworld as they all become Shadoles. Larc answers he's only following the will of his master. Olbohn wonders if the Crimson Dragon's evil schemes will come to fruition this time and he would like to apply for it one day. The Beast Warrior replies by telling him to give the protagonist the Baptism of Flame, so he can proceed further into hell's corridors. The Wisdom grants the permission and summons a Shadole to guide them to the ceremonial room.
The Pursuit of Wisdoms
Bud wants to meet each of the Seven Wisdoms of Fa'Diel so he can become a great wizard. Olbohn will meet the young apprentice in his Underworld office, and will share he can do anything he wishes as long as he doesn't forget he's a human being, just like any other.
Two Torches
Though the Wisdom doesn't appear in this quest, Escad will briefly mention he's learned the way of sword from Olbohn during his stay in the Underworld.
Heaven's Gate
Olbohn appears at the Faeries's Arc's epiolgue, during which a Shadole will warn him of wandering spirits lurking in the Underworld without permission. He'll reply to let them wander as they are not causing any trouble. Matilda will appear before him and the Archemon of Hell will ask her if she accepted Selva's proposition of becoming the seventh Wisdom. The deceased Abbess will reply of the affirmative. He will revert the old woman's body back to her youthful appearance, adding Irwin always regretted what he to her did during the incident ten years ago. She then asks if the demon is here, and Olbohn will reply he's in the lower levels.
Sword of Mana
Olbohn makes a cameo in Sword of Mana. As will all Seven Wisdoms, the archdemon of hell can be summoned by the player to deal screen-wide elemental damage to enemies. With 50 Amigos logged by the player, the wisdom can be called upon to unleash powerful moonbeam attack at enemies, inflicting the Wimp status crisis.
Circle of Mana
Olbohn makes a cameo appearance in the online game, along with several other characters from the Mana series. He appears in 1 set of cards.

Echoes of Mana
Olbohn briefly appears in a side story called Labyrinth of Lost Heroes where he is seen training Escad in his office in a flashback. He tells his apprentice he must realize he's trapped in a labyrinth. To truly hone his skills, the budding knight must not rely on strength alone, for he must carve his own path in the meandering maze. The answers lie beyond the labyrinth.

Personality
Despite his position as both a Wisdom and the overlord of the Underworld, Olbohn appears to be one who does not garner very much respect from his underlings. Based on the few interactions that he engages in, Olbohn appears to play a role that is markedly passive, never directly engaging in the foibles of Fa'Diel's inhabitants.
Olbohn's credentials as a Wisdom are well-earned, nevertheless, as he proves himself to be one who is as insightful as he is grounded in reality; he has functioned as a mentor to Escad, attempting, but failing, to reinforce the need to destroy the veil of hatred and envy that blinds him from reality; the advice that Olbohn imparts to Bud in The Seven Wisdoms sees him urging the child to, in his pursuit towards becoming a renowned sorcerer, never forget his roots and limits as a member of the human race.
