Xan Bie is a recurring character and boss in the Mana series.
Background
The ghastly Benevodon of Flame was sealed aeons ago by the Mana Goddess in the Firestone of Fiery Gorge. But with mana power fading, its seal grew weak, thus allowing the forces of darkness to release it. Now, this floating hybrid of bird and bull spins freely among the molten bowels of the earth, where it feeds off mysterious crystals at its altar.
History
Trials of Mana
Xan Bie is one of the seven Benevodons that can be fought in any order throughout Chapter V, gaining strength as more of its kin are slain. It can be found on the northern path of the Fiery Gorge.
Heroes of Mana
Echoes of Mana
Xan Bie is introduced as a boss during Bravers Arise VIII. It is weak against both Water and Earth.
General information
- “The benevodon of fire. Though it looks like a bird engulfed in flames, no benevodon actually has a finite form; rather, each can change into whatever form it wills. Xan Bie decides to help Roget and crew because it finds Esina's mirror annoying, not necessarily out of a desire to save the world.”
