The Barrel is an item exclusive to Secret of Mana.
It prevents the user from being targeted by physical or magical attacks for a limited time. The play cannot attack of use magic until it wears off as a drawback.

Secret of Mana
Barrels can only be bought to Neko for 900 GP.
Both the Polter Chair and the Mushgloom can drop a barrel as a rare drop.
