Unleash is an important game mechanic in Echoes of Mana.

Overview[edit]

Benevodon Spirit Icon

Players can use duplicate allies and unleash and ally to level up their skills and special techniques, as well as giving a slight boost to the unit's special level cap. The maxmimum times an ally can be unleashed is six.

Players can also use a Benevodon Spirit Icon in lieu of an ally to boost a character's skill. Benevodon Spirit Icons cannot be put in a party or participate in battle. They also cannot level up, ascend, unleash, nor awakened. They can usually be used by anyone but some can only be used by a specific ally (marked with an small character icon).

Unleashing a character does NOT add the level of the duplicated ally to the desired one. For example, unleashing a Lv 10 2 star (★) ally with a Lv 2 duplicate, this will not result in a 2 level gain. It is recomended to not waste Experience Tomes on a duplicate for that matter.

Furthermore, the player cannot use a different version of an ally to use as a dubplicate.
