Teardrop Crystal is a quest in Legend of Mana.
Premise
Inspector Boyd hasn't seen Elazul and Pearl for a while and has stopped to St. Mana Church in Domina to investigate. He tasks the protagonist to go to Geo and find a vacant shop there that used to sell Jumi cores. The two venture to Geo and enter the jewelry shop, Boyd stating that Nunzac used to come here to buy Jumi cores. The mouse detective is mysteriously pushed away from the entrance, only allowing the main character to enter. Inside, the hero reunites with Pearl and Elazul, the latter stating that they've been doing some investigating of their own. Apparently, everyone thinks this place is abandoned and nobody knows about Alex's true identity. The team decides to search the area for clues, and find a portal inside a magic box. Here they find Florina, Clarius of the Jumi, who tell Pearl to keep her powers to herself at the expense of her core. The Jumi of Fluorite explains that she is going to return Pearl to her original form, as there is something she wants to ask her. The Pearl Jumi transforms into Lady Blackpearl, and Florina asks her what has become of the Mana Sword, the key to unbinging the Mana stone. Florina think that the sword she gave to Elazul was the fabled one, but the Black Jumi clarifies that it is only a sword beloning to an ancient tribe of nomads who could see into the past and imbued the sword with vision of bygone ages. Elazul also wants Lady Blackpearl to explain how her black core turned to white when he held you in his arms in the desert and how she can change her core back and forth. Lady Blackpearl is then forced to reveal her past to Elazul.
Pearl's Memory: The Desert In the desert, Alex and Lady Blackpearl meet, with the latter questioning the jewel hunter's motive to take Florina away. Alex explains that he only wants to save her, as the war drags on and Florina being to compassionate with drive her to give out her tears to every injured Jumi, sacrificing her life to them. Lady Blackpearl answer back by saying that it is the duty of any guardian who sits on the throne of the Clarius to support the Jumi with their life. Only after a century of service should a sitting Clarius be demoted and a new one chosen. The store owner tells the Black Jumi that Florina has changed since the Jumi Knight joined the struggle against the Deathbringer's army. Lady Blackpearl is not convinced by Alex and reiterates that the Clarius should be returned to the city, but the jeweler replies that Florina is about to enter eternal slumber, as he trapped her in Pandora's Box. The lady is a bit taken aback by the revelation, but states that she still needs to talk to Florina, as she is the symbol of the Jumi and their only hope. Alex is puzzled by the fact that his friend cannot come to see the truth, as if their very survival comes at the cost of life, should they really deserve to live? He heard from Florina herself that Lady Blackpearl's dark core gives off no light, as she is nothing but a shell. The Knight of the Clarius is just a stone puppet, according to the store owner. As she is complicit in preserving the foolish Jumi line, Alex states that he cannot let Lady Blackpearl live and transforms into Sandra, throwing cards at her core before leaving. This makes Lady Blackpearl transform into an amnesiac Pearl, as she is rescued by Elazul.
Solution
Enter Domina. Go to the church and talk to the Inspector. Tell him “No, that can’t be,” and he’ll ask you to go to Geo to find the Jumi Cores. When you get to Geo enter and then leave the jewel shop right away to see Pearl and Elazul enter. Now, search the treasure box on the right to get transported to Pandora’s Box. After the conversation, choose either Pearl or Elazul to join you and leave Geo to return to the World Map.
Place Jumi’s Staff AF in the space directly to the Left of Domina to create the Bejeweled City. Enter the Bejewled City.
Enter all the rooms in the Glowing Corridor to get the four gemstones, (Sapphire, Topaz, Emerald, and Ruby). To fight the first Jewel Beast head towards Sappho’s gate and search the door. After the battle, place two gemstones in the slots and search the door until you hear 2 tones(the number of tones that you hear is equal to the number of correct gemstones you placed in the holders; keep trying different stones until you find the right combination) to open the gate but do not pass through yet. Return to the gemstones rooms again to get back the gems you just placed.
Go through Sappho’s gate to get to level 2. On this tier you will find the Amethyst and Aquamarine gemstones. Search the Gate on this level and you will encounter another Jewel Beast. Defeat it to proceed. After the battle, go to Sappho’s gate again and place three gemstones in the slots until you hear 3 tones (just like you did on level 1). The gate will then be open and you can enter the 3rd level. Be sure to go back and re-stock the gems that you placed in the three slots.
On level 3 you will find the Diamond gem in the room near the stairs. You must defeat the Machine Golem to get it though. Search the gate on this level to fight another Jewel Beast. After that battle you need to place 4 gems in the slots to until you hear 4 tones (just like you did on level 2). The gate will open and you can proceed to the Room of Clarius..
Defeat the Lord of Jewels 999 and Lord of Jewels 1000 and watch the scenes to complete this event.
