The Professor, also known as Dr. Bowow, is a character in Final Fantasy Adventure and its direct remake Adventures of Mana. He is known as Professor Bomb in Sword of Mana.
Background
This odd man with a large schnozz and a thick lion's mane for a beard lives in a modest house in Ish, from which he has conducted a variety of scientific studies and inventive experiments. He has a keen interest in both mechanical engineering and archaeology.
History
Final Fantasy Adventure & Adventures of Mana
Some years before the events of the story, the Professor stumbled upon the now-sunken Dime Tower and built a robot named Marcy to analyze it and contain any threats found therein. When the tower submerged, Marcy went dormant.
In the present day, the Professor happened upon a chocobo that had just carried its battered master to Ish despite broken legs of its own.
