Background

Faye is a spirit born of from the eight elementals inside the Great Tree. She is able to communicate with them and transmit their powers onto Keldric.

History

Dawn of Mana

The little spirit is awaken from her slumber in a small room beneath the Great Tree while Keldric and Ritzia were searching for the sacred beast. She quickly joins the party and can communicate with the elemental spirits to grant Keldy their powers. She warns Ritzia not to touch the roots of the sacred Tree after the fight with Grim Mortifer, but to no avail.

She notices in horror the death of both Treant and Gaia, the wood and earth guardians respectively.

During the lorimarian attack on Mortmont, Faye is hit by a bomb and sent flying down the mountain. She is rescued by Flammie who awoke near Gaia and reunited with Keldy in Tree Folk Village.

Later, the spirit child protects a drowning Keldy from the missiles sent from the Imperial Flagship after an unsuccessfull attempt at rescuing Ritzia from Stroud. She is unfortunately hit by one projectile, and is washed up on a beach near Keldric. The chosen one thanks her for saving him, but Faye cannot remember how she did it. Their reunion is interrupted by the Golem army raiding Tree Folk Village and Keldric decides to confront Stroud moments after he's been imbued with Thanatos by Ritzia, who opened the door to Mavolia. Faye tries to protect Keldy from Stroud's sword strike, but is hit instead, rendering her uncounscious again. The two of them are saved by Watts's war machine and are brougth back to safety. The little spirit transforms in her mature form on their way to Jadd Castle.

While eliminating Thanatos in Jadd, Faye asks Keldric is going back to Illusia is really going to solve anything. The hero answers that he must ask Ritzia why she opened the door in the first place. After their conversation, Faye has a vision of Treant and Gaia, telling her that soon the world will be plunged in darkness, and its inhabitants transformed into Grimslies. This fate was brought upon by the humans, as she no longer need to fight by his side since she is a spirit. Faye declares that she still wants to be with Keldy, even if it means being overwhelmed by evil herself. The earth and tree sprit promise to be by her side whatever she believes is best.

She also witnesses of Keldric depicting a possessed Ritzia asking for all three of them ruling the world by becoming the Dark Lord himself. The devious Tree maiden asks the spirit child to bring Keldric here again as he flees his nightmare.

In the ultimate battle againt Medusa Faye convinces Keldy to plant his sword in Anise so to restore the world back the way it was. She then fuses with Ritzia and Keldy's seed to become the Mana Goddess, and eradicate the evil out of Fa'Diel.
