Elliot is a non-player character in Trials of Mana and an integral character in the Prince of Mavolia storyline shared by Riesz and Hawkeye.
Elliot is the younger child of King Joster and Queen Minerva of Laurent, and therefore is also Riesz's younger brother. He has been his sister's charge since Minerva died shortly after his birth. Still a child of no more than 10, Elliot is rather mischievous and is known to slack off and play pranks on Riesz, especially as she tries to educate him in royal decorum.
On one particular day when mana is at its weakest, Elliot fancies a game of hide and seek, much to his sister's consternation. And so, Riesz desperately searches for him. When she does find him, she hands him the key to the Citadel's wind generator. She then reminds him to handle it with utmost care. But as Riesz leaves to take care of other businesss, two ninja from the neighboring region of Nevarl, Bil and Ben, materialize as part of their plot to invade Laurent. They spot Elliot, then trick the boy into returning to the wind generator and turning it off. Soon, with the winds around the Citadel dampened, Nevarl moves to seize Laurent, and Elliot is captured.
