The Magic Rope is a recurring utility item in in the Mana series. It makes its first appearance in Secret of Mana. It usually sends the user back to a dungeon's entrance. The series have always represented the item as a long coiled up rope, ususally brown or tan in color.

History

Secret of Mana

The Magic Rope is a key item in Secret of Mana. It is found in a chest deep within Gaia's Navel. It is required to go down the Thieves' Ship, as the Dwarf Elder will prevent the player from entering if they don't have the rope, mentioning it being hidden somewhere in the caves.

Trials of Mana

The Magic Rope is a consumable item in Trials of Mana and can be purchased in most item shops. Only two enemies drop the rope once defeated.

Sword of Mana

Given by a grandfather in Topple after the heroes visit his home, the Magic Rope can return them to a place of safety.
