Bulettes could be described as having a large rhinoceros body with some armadillo elements to it design. Its first appearance in ''Final Fantasy Adventure'' had smoother, rounder body shape, while subsequent depictions added horns and a spiky tail. Its body is also coverted with sturdy keratinous plates hinting at its strong endurance and defensive power, making them difficult to defeat. Normal Bulettes are colored gray, white or yellow.

Bulettes are almost alway exclusively seen roaming deserts and wastelands and have not seem to acclimated in any other biomes.
Bulettes have a natural affinity to [[Gnome|earth]] magic and seem to fear [[Undine]] spells.

The Bulette family seems to have been tiered into precious metals, namely silver, gold, and platinum.
*The [[Silver Bulette]] is only encountered in ''[[Rise of Mana]]'' and is a grayish silver variant of the regular Bulette.
*The [[Gold Bulette]] has a gold coating armor and seems to share the same environment of its regular brethren.
*The [[Platinum Bulette]] is a rare orange & black hued Bulette from ''Rise of Mana''.

The Bulette is a recurring enemy in the Mana series. It is an infrequent monster that appears in a few installments. Its name and design were taken straight from the Dungeons & Dragons bestiary. It is a heavily armored creature.
