Confusion, also known as Confuse, or Confused, is a recurring status aliment in the Mana series.

Effect

The victim's mind is clouded, making them unable to process directions or follow commands. In severe cases, the victim may attack or cast a random spell against anything on the battlefield.

History

Secret of Mana

Called confused status in Secret of Mana and confuse status in Secret of Mana HD, this aliment makes the afflicted's directional controls reversed (up becomes down and left becomes right and vice versa) and is unable to cast magic for a short while.

The aliment can be removed either by casting Remedy or using a Medical Herb.

Here is a list of enemies that can inflict confuse to characters.

• Blue Dragon (boss)
• Dark Lich (boss)
• Doom's Wall (boss)
• Griffin Claw
• Kimono Bird
• Nemesis Owl
• Spring Beak (boss)
• Thunder Gigas (boss)

Here are the weapons the player characters can use to confuse enemies.

• Great Bow
• Halberd
• Wing Bow

There is only one spell that Primm can use to inflict confuse onto enemies.
