Snowman, also known as Freeze, Frost, Frostied, and Frozen, is a recurring status aliment in the Mana series.

Effect

A possible effect of water-elemental magic and enemy attacks in arctic areas, this effect will freeze the victim in place with everything but a hat, scarf, and corncob smoking pipe. While a snowman, the victim can be shoved around, but cannot act until they thaw out.

History

Final Fantasy Adventure and Adventures of Mana

Sumo's Blizzard magic will snowman an enemy when it connects, allowing him to use said enemy as a weight on any switches in the same room.

Secret of Mana

Called frostied status in Secret of Mana and frost status in Secret of Mana HD, this status transforms the afflicted into a snowman, making it unable to input command for a short while.

The aliment can be removed either by casting Remedy or using a Medical Herb.

Freeze status

The Snowman status is a relatively uncommon status that causes the afflicted target to transform into a snowman, rendering it unable to act or move for a while. During this period the target is still vulnerable to physical and magical attacks. This status effect fades after a while depending on the character or the enemy's luck stat. The aliment can be removed by casting Twinkle Rain or by using a Medical Herb, a Marmpoto Oil or a Salt Bottle. Shellfishers are vulnerable to the Snomwan status.

Either called Snowman or Freeze in the remake, the status aliment turns a target into a snowman, making it unable to move or perform any action. It is automatically removed after about 25 seconds or it can be cured by either casting Twinkle Rain, or by using a Medical Herb, a Marmpoto Oil or a Salt Bottle.
